About

What Is The Courthouse Swim Academy?

The Courthouse Swim Academy is part of a nationally recognized learn-to-swim program developed by the American Swimming Coaches Association called SwimAmerica. The Courthouse is an officially licensed SwimAmerica provider.

What Are The Benefits of Swim Academy?

It is inevitable that most people will be exposed to at least one form of aquatic activity at some point during their lifetime. The ability to swim is the most important safety skill of all. According to the National Safety Council over 8,000 people drown in the United States every year. Make sure your child is water safe!

Who Is Swim Academy For?

Group lessons are offered for ages 3 and up.  Parent & Tot lessons are offered for very young children, starting at six months of age.  Children can simply learn water safety, or can advance to the Swim Academy competitive training program.

How Does Swim Academy Work?

Swim Academy allows children to move at their own individual speed through ten distinct skill stations. Each class session lasts an hour. When a child learns the skills needed for one level, only then do they move to the next. A child may stay at a station for a day, a week, or longer. Each child moves at their own pace when they are ready. Levels 1-7 deal with basic water safety skills. Levels 8-10 deal with skills needed to enjoy swimming as a recreational or competitive activity.

What about Private Swim Instruction?

Private and semi-private lessons are offered for any level of swimmer, including parent-tot lessons.
